Lancashire-based Alcedo Care Group has announced the appointment of a new head of quality and compliance as it embarks on a “concerted growth plan” this year.
Catherine Hill will take the lead on all areas of product and service quality, including the auditing of internal systems and procedures, safeguarding and meeting CQC and local authority regulations.
The new recruit has more than 18 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, having worked her way up from support worker to senior manager registered with the CQC.
Commenting on her new role, Hill said: “Alcedo Care Group is a forward thinking and progressive family business that really does care. The company’s engaged and enthusiastic team puts its clients at the heart of everything that it does, every single day.
“I am delighted to join the team at this exciting time and look forward to supporting the business as it goes for growth ensuring Alcedo remains the number one provider for quality home care in the North West.”
Managing director at Alcedo Care Group, Andy Boardman added: “We’re delighted to have Cathy on board and look forward to working with her to ensure that we meet our growth and expansion goals without compromising our established high standards and keeping firmly focused on the daily delivery of quality care.”
Cathy Hill lives just outside of Chester, and will be based at Alcedo Care’s Southport office on Hoghton Street.
Established in 2017 by Andy and his wife Jo, Alcedo Care continues to expand at pace, with a 500-strong team and offices in Blackpool, Southport, Wigan, Preston and a new branch in Lancaster.
The company offers hourly visiting, complex and live-in care services for older people, those with learning disabilities and people with acquired brain injuries.
