Audley Care, the registered care provider for Audley Villages, has appointed a regional care support manager for the South of England.
Lisa Thompson joins the team from Alzheimer’s Society, where she worked as a services manager, managing staff and operations and working with people living with dementia.
Prior to this, she managed the Mental Health team and Memory Clinic at the Great Western Hospital and worked as an area manager for Life Carers.
In her new role, Thompson will support the Audley Care team in delivering quality care and wellbeing services to people living in their own homes, either in an Audley Village or the local community.
Commenting on her new position, she said: “It’s never been more important for older people to have the support they need in their own homes and I’m extremely glad to be starting at Audley, where the standards of service are so high. With the UK still in lockdown, it’s an extremely challenging time for many people and the support the Audley Care team give is completely invaluable.
“In the short time I’ve been in the role, the wonderful carers have provided a range of services from shopping, to regular care visits. They have all the best interests of their community customers, property owners and team members at heart and I hope to complement the team with my experience and passion from years of working with people in need of care and support.”
Paul Morgan, managing director for Operations at Audley Villages, commented: “We’re pleased to welcome Lisa to Audley and boost our brilliant and busy Audley Care team during this time. The support that our carers give to people is vital, and it’s important that it is consistently of a high quality. The experience and knowledge that Lisa brings will be invaluable and we’re delighted to have her on board.”
