Practical advice for recruiting care workers during the coronavirus crisis will be offered to home care providers this afternoon, in a webinar hosted by Birdie.
The care technology platform will welcome Neil Eastwood (pictured) to share ways to speed up the recruitment process whilst attracting the best candidates.
Eastwood is the CEO of social care recruitment specialist Sticky People and founder of the Care Friends, a new mobile app launching in June that ‘gamifies’ the employee referral process.
He will also offer advice on how to use volunteers and temporary staff to support care teams and tips for managing the recruitment process and on-boarding new staff remotely.
“Recruitment has always been a challenge in the home care sector. But in light of the COVID-19 crisis, staff shortage has become even more of a reality and many home care agencies are struggling to recruit the carers they need,” said Laetitia Van Hoecke, head of marketing at Birdie.
“We’re delighted to welcome Neil Eastwood from Care Friends to share some of the steps providers can take to make recruitment easier in the current situation. The webinar will take the format of an interview and then will open up to give you the opportunity to ask questions.”
The webinar will take place at 1pm today. To register, click here.
This is the third COVID-19-related webinar that Birdie has hosted in recent weeks. The previous sessions covered best practices for home care agencies and PPE guidance.
The fourth webinar in the series will take place on May 1 and will offer advice on how home care agencies can use secure communications during the pandemic.
