Bluebird Care Oxford has seen an increase in applications throughout the pandemic, with enquiries from individuals who worked in hospitality increasing significantly.

Melissa Charnock, head of marketing for Recruitment and Employee Engagement at Bluebird Care Oxford, said: “Coronavirus has affected many people through redundancy, unemployment, and furlough. Bluebird Care can offer a secure, stable career.

“We know that many people will have experience in care within their daily lives – weather that’s bringing up their children, looking after a loved one or helping a neighbour.  We also find that workers from retail, hospitality or customer service have great transferrable skills to become a Care Assistant. Over the year, we’ll continue our recruitment campaigns, interviewing and employing individuals who can deliver high quality care to our customers.”
