Bluebird Care’s Peterborough & Rutland branch is launching a second care hub to support clients and their families in the area.
The new office will open in Orton Southgate next month and will serve people in Peterborough, Oundle and the surrounding areas, Home Care Insight has learned.
The move will create 30 to 40 new frontline care jobs over the next year.
Registered care manager Michelle Inwood said: ‘‘We are so excited and delighted to be able to offer greater service to the population of Peterborough & Oundle and dedicate our growing team, to the needs of people requiring care in this area.
“We bring the highest quality care to those in need in the Peterborough & Oundle areas as well as providing those who wish to be care professionals, a career in care.”
Bluebird Care Peterborough & Rutland was first established in Stamford by couple Leisa MacKenzie and Tim Carey in 2011.
It currently has a team of 60 care professionals, supporting more than 120 customers.
In November 2018, the branch achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the CQC and is the only care provider to achieve this in Peterborough, Oundle and Stamford.
Director MacKenzie said: “Tim and I started Bluebird Care in Stamford nearly eight years ago, both of us donning our uniforms and delivering the care ourselves so we really know what we are doing. The role of Carer is as a true profession and vocation, and our team makes a positive difference to each customer. I am so proud of the dedicated, professional care team we have at Bluebird Care and the excellent feedback we receive from our customers is reward enough.”
