Camille Leavold was born into the care industry, starting Abbots Care as a family business in 1995 with her mum, a fax, a mobile phone, and a bucket full of passion to change the home care market.
To this day, she has been a determined individual in driving growth and investing in her employees at Abbots Care by being involved in various projects throughout the years.
In 2020, Abbots Care received an ‘Outstanding’ accreditation from the CQC. Camille and the Abbots team are proud of this achievement and the challenges they face to achieve high-quality standards whilst delivering volume council-funded contracts.
Abbots Care has won multiple awards for care quality from the Great British Care Awards and from Hertfordshire County Council during the Covid-19 crisis. And in a 2021 survey, 100% of service users rated Abbots as being safe, effective, well led and responsive.
Camille has also been working with the Department of Health and Social Care, producing a social campaign with videos of Abbots care workers who have successfully received their vaccination. The goal is to encourage as many vaccinations as possible.
Abbots Care now has over 850 care workers, operating across four counties with four offices.
