Care England, the largest representative body for independent providers of adult social care, is recruiting its first head of Workforce Strategy and Programmes.
The new post had been created to tackle the ongoing challenges of recruiting and retaining a quality workforce in the sector.
Reporting directly to chief executive Martin Green, the post holder will have huge scope to influence policy.
“Brexit or no Brexit, workforce is one of the main challenges facing our sector,” Green said.
“We are looking to expand our team and have scoped this newly created post which is a really exciting opportunity.”
The successful applicant will set out a Care England and independent care sector (ICS) workforce strategy, formalise a mentoring scheme for the ICS workforce, consider how best digital innovation can support the workforce and respond to national consultations on issues relating to the workforce.
