The home care sector will benefit from two industry events under one roof when the Care Show hosts the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA) England conference this year.
UKHCA and event organiser CloserStill Media have joined forces to make the conference an integral part of the Care Show, which will take place in Birmingham this October.
Andrew Heffernan, membership and marketing director at UKHCA said: “Bringing the UKHCA England Conference together with the Care Show, which is already the UK’s largest event for the Care Community, will help us to deliver a great event for UKHCA members, whilst enabling them to access the innovations, best practice and technological solutions offered by the wider Care Show at the same time.
“The link with the Care Show will create an excellent forum for debating how home care providers and the social care sector as a whole can meet the challenges and opportunities of supporting an ageing population to live well at home.”
Michael Corbett, event manager for the Care Show said: “This marks an incredibly important and exciting moment for the care sector and we are delighted to have the opportunity to offer a unique platform and unlimited support to UKHCA while they move to running their annual conference alongside The Care Show.”
The Care Show, which recently celebrated its 20th year, is the largest gathering of care professionals in the UK.
Taking place on October 9-10 at the NEC, Birmingham, the 2019 event will provide expert-led CPD accredited conference sessions, hands-on training, latest solutions and networking opportunities to support those connected to and responsible for providing excellent care for others.
The UKHCA England conference will see leaders in the home care industry discuss topical issues in the sector. Speakers at last year’s event included Minister of Care Caroline Dinenage and representatives from Caremark, Home Instead, Right at Home and The Good Care Group, to name a few providers.
