Carefound Home Care honours staff through new awards scheme

PLATO awards

Carefound Home Care has named first winners of its P.L.A.T.O awards, which recognise staff who go above and beyond the call of duty.

The awards involve staff from the whole company voting on the best examples of colleagues demonstrating Carefound’s company values – Personalised, Local, Accountable, Together and Outstanding.

The scheme was launched this summer and takes place every three months, with the winner not only receiving company-wide recognition, but also £100 in gift vouchers.

Zoe Kadiyo and Massi Garshasebi, who are live-in carers at Carefound Home Care, have been announced as the first P.L.A.T.O award winners.

They have been recognised for working together to provide continuity of care and better outcomes through their live-in care package, which involves complex care and end-of-life care.

Zoe said: “Winning the P.L.A.T.O award was amazing. Sometimes, as carers, we do not realise just how much we are contributing to an individual’s life. Being recognised for the hard work and dedication we put into making our clients lives easier was an honour. Thank you for the nomination and to everyone who voted. We were both so happy to win.”

Oliver Stirk, managing director at Carefound Home Care, said: “It was an honour to present Zoe and Massi with our first P.L.A.T.O awards and they can feel very proud of the recognition they have received from all of their colleagues.

“Working together and celebrating what we do as hourly care assistants, live-in carers and care management teams is hugely important at Carefound Home Care and it’s truly amazing to see the endless examples of outstanding care from across our company.”
