A director at national home care provider Caremark has been named Young Woman in Franchising of the Year for the second year running.
Hannah Drury, the operations director at Caremark Sutton and Caremark Epsom, Banstead & Reigate, scooped the accolade at the NatWest Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) Awards ceremony in London last week.
She was also a finalist in the Woman Franchisee of the Year category.
This is the fifth award that Drury has won in just three and a half years, having previously picked up two accolades at the 2017 bfa HSBC Franchise Awards, the 2017 startups Franchisee of the Year award and the Young Woman in Franchising of the Year Award at the EWIF Awards in 2018.
Commenting on her latest win, Drury said: “I was shortlisted in a category with such phenomenal female entrepreneurs, so winning the award for the second time has been a real highlight of my career.
“Female entrepreneurs contribute so much to the British economy so I’m always very proud to support organisations who are flying the flag for women in business. I’m very appreciative to the incredible staff I work with, at our offices in Sutton – without their unwavering support, I wouldn’t have won the award.”
Last year was a challenging year for Drury, who took charge of restructuring the business after losing key members of the administration team almost overnight. Previously serving clients in Sutton, the business has now expanded into new territories covering Epsom, Banstead and Reigate.
“I’ve worked hard to expand the business, whilst maintaining the impeccable standard of care we provide our original group of clients. Winning the award just goes to show that success isn’t always about phenomenal achievements which set you apart from peers – sometimes, it’s about running an ethical business and taking care of what matters. I’ve learnt so much in the past year and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come,” she said.
