Carers Trust has been declared the highest climber in a major annual index of UK charity brands.
The organisation climbed 36 places to 86th in the 2018 Index, compiled by Third Sector, that’s more places than any other charity on the index, which measures public awareness of (and trust in) 150 leading UK charities.
Carers Trust works to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail or disabled.
Director of Fundraising and Communications, Svetlana Kirov, said: “This is wonderful news. The UK has an extremely strong voluntary sector so it is incredibly pleasing to see the growing esteem in which we are held by the public when judged against other exceptional UK charities on the index.
“Our rapid rise up the index is testament to the tireless work of our dedicated staff and all our Network Partners across the UK. When you take into account the ever more challenging funding environment in the UK, it is remarkable how our staff and partners continue to deliver invaluable services and support that are making a real difference to the quality of life of thousands of vulnerable and unpaid carers.”
