Cera Care launches social app for home care clients

Tech-enabled care provider Cera Care has launched a new app to enable those receiving care to connect with their local community.

The Connected Care app helps people coordinate basic activities, such as booking taxis, ordering food and organising trips out, from a single platform.

The technology, now available via the Cera app on Apple and Android phones, will also be accessible to care workers and families so they can schedule activities on their behalf.

Dr. Ben Maruthappu, co-Founder of Cera Care, believes that the Smart Care technology will help ensure an individual’s needs are always being met.

He said: “Our latest technology aims to provide additional services to individuals to help extend the level of care they receive, to ultimately help them live more independently in the safety of their homes. We want to put the social back into social care. By doing this digitally, users, families and carers can access and request a range of services at the click of a button.”

The news follows the launch of Cera Care’s Concern Predictor earlier this year. This service alerts caregivers to any possible deterioration in a person’s physical and psychological health.
