A home care provider in South Yorkshire has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission for a second time.
Crossroads Care Rotherham received the top rating for being safe, effective, caring and well-led – an improvement on its 2016 inspection when it was rated ‘Outstanding’ for safe, caring and well-led services, and ‘Good’ for effective and responsive.
The CQC noted in its report that “without exception” clients said they had received a fantastic service from the provider.
Inspectors also said that staff “went that extra mile for people they supported”. For example, a person with a sensory impairment and health related problems was supported in an “exceptional” way.
Helena Dennett, head of inspection (North West), Adult Social Care said: “It is impressive to see that this service has maintained its high standards of quality and improved further on areas of good practice and care.
“It was clear that the service wanted to continually improve on the care and support it provides, and staff were inspired to follow this through so they offered the best possible care they could. Outstanding a second time, a fantastic achievement well done.”
