Examples could include software solutions, IoT platforms or assistive technologies that support clients to live well and independently in their own home, improve the daily working lives of carers and help home care providers manage their operations more effectively.

Nominated solutions may have been developed by a start-up company or an established supplier growing its presence in the UK home care sector.

Home Care Insight editor Sarah Clarke said: “It’s a hugely exciting time for the home care sector, with numerous solutions coming on the market that are driving operational efficiencies, supporting providers to deliver person-centred care and, in some cases, saving lives by alerting carers of changes in client behaviour.

“We are looking to bring together a Top 20 list of solutions that help providers and their carers succeed in doing what they do best – providing high-quality care, at a time when resources are stretched, without reducing the time they spend with clients or replacing human contact.”

If you know of a solution that fits these criteria, please answer the following questions and send your nomination to by February 11, 2020.

  1. What is the name of your nominated solution and the supplier that developed it?
  2. In what ways does it benefit home care providers, carers and/or clients?
  3. How does it stand out from other home care solutions available on the market?
