Home Instead Senior Care Southend-on-Sea has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
In their report, CQC inspectors referred to Home Instead as “consistently well managed” and described how management culture “promoted an exceptional person-centred service which was open, inclusive and empowering”.
This is the first overall ‘Outstanding’ rating for the Southend-on-Sea provider, having been rated ‘Good’ during its last inspection in May 2016.
The CQC’s report is peppered with quotes from Home Instead clients and families, all of which praise staff for being kind, compassionate and sensitive to their needs.
One client is quoted as saying, “Home Instead provide me with all the care I need and are a very happy and friendly company. I enjoy having a laugh and a joke with my carers.”
Feedback from a relative states: “Mum is a completely different person. Extremely happy and engaged and has some of her old life back, going to hair and beauty appointments, yoga, trips to the cinema and eating out every day. The change in her is amazing.”
Niven Ramalingum, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Southend-on-Sea, said: “We are over the moon that we have joined the three per cent of our industry rated as outstanding by the CQC. We are also delighted to see our company vision and culture referred to so prolifically throughout the report.
“We are an exceptionally values-driven organisation and our whole team works hard to ensure that people and relationships sit central to everything we do. To read how clients, their families and staff all recognise and benefit from our efforts is extremely satisfying and to have this reflected back through the words of the inspector is further validation.”
Martin Jones, managing director of Home Instead Senior Care said: “Congratulations to Niven and the whole team on yet another outstanding result.
“It is evident throughout the report how passionate the entire team is at Home Instead Southend on Sea, and all of us at Home Instead are proud of this ‘empowering’ team!”
