UK home care provider Heritage Healthcare is planning to launch its first international master franchise within 18 months.
The business established Heritage Healthcare International in April 2018 and has since received interest from potential franchisees in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Michelle Fenwick, owner and director of Heritage Healthcare Franchising told Home Care Insight: “We would hope within the next 12 to 18 months to launch or first master franchise.
“We think Scandinavia is a good fit for the brand and the quality of the services that we provide. So we have consultants in place and we are looking at growing internationally.
Heritage Healthcare master franchisees will run a pilot operation for 12 months before they are eligible to sell to franchisees within their territory.
The brand said these franchisees must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success within fast-paced, demanding environments, share the brand’s caring values and have the ability to lead people.
Heritage Healthcare master franchisees are also required to possess the resources needed to create and execute an aggressive expansion plan, inclusive of an initial franchisee – to be agreed on a country by country basis – and a minimum working capital of £500,000.
Headquartered in Darlington, Heritage Healthcare offers a range of home care services, including personal care, live-in care, respite care, dementia care and end-of-life care.
The business currently operates in 21 territories in the UK.
