Fosse Healthcare has announced the takeover of a home care service previously owned by Meridian Health and Social Care.

The deal sees Fosse Healthcare, based in the Midlands, welcome more than 130 clients, as well as the existing care and office workforce.

The North Hykeham branch in Lincolnshire will become Fosse Healthcare’s ninth office when it reopens.

Managing Director Volt Sacco said: “On behalf of Fosse I would like to welcome all the clients and staff to Fosse Healthcare. The transfer has gone smoothly, and we remain fully committed to the communities in North Hykeham and partnership working with Lincolnshire County Council.

“As part of this deal we are relocating to new offices in the LN6 area as we feel this will be better suited to the needs of the service”

Earlier this year, Fosse Healthcare implemented an early warning alert system for care staff that notifies them of any risks to safety when providing care, including those resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The provider’s innovation team created the feature using technology available as part of its remote care planning system, Access Care Planning, which it uses for electronic care planning and monitoring care delivery.
