Free workshops are taking place this Autumn to help social care staff understand carbon monoxide risks in the homes of vulnerable clients.
Hosted by the Gas Safety Charity, the hour-long Zoom workshops are aimed at frontline staff and volunteers from social care and the NHS, who visit vulnerable people in their homes every day.
The Think CO online workshops will inform delegates about the sources, signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, how to help prevent it and what the implications are to carers and their clients.
In particular, they will focus on long term, low level risks which can have serious consequences and help carers spot and address the risks.
The webinar is a mix of presentation, scenarios and practical exercises. Only the presenters will be on video, but participants can ask, or type, questions during the talk. The Chat function also enables you to answer questions and respond to real scenarios.
Tickets are available for the following dates: November 10, 23 and 25, and December 7 and 9.
