A Home Instead Senior Care franchise has been recognised for showing “outstanding dedication” to the health and wellbeing of its staff with a London Healthy Workplace Award.
The award is a pan-London framework that supports and recognises investment in staff health and wellbeing, partnering local public health resource with employers.
Home Instead Greenwich and Bexley is the only care company to have earned the accreditation and is one of over 300 organisations that have met the standards set by the framework to date.
Verifiers were particularly impressed with Home Instead’s leadership for health and wellbeing; its strategic approach based on identifying needs; its communication methods; and for having a good stress and wellbeing policy in place.
Fatta and Sonia Thapa, owners of Home Instead Greenwich, said: “Receiving the Healthy Workplace Award reassures us that we’re on the right track in creating a working environment where health and wellbeing are key pillars of our employee retention strategy. We ensure that caregivers know their value and worth by recognising and appreciating their hard work and for making a difference.
“This award has come at such an important time as there has been so much uncertainty over the past few months due to the coronavirus pandemic. This recognition has given our staff reassurance that we are doing the right thing.”
