Home Instead Senior Care has been named the UK’s number one franchise business for 2021 in an industry ranking of the country’s top 100 franchises.
The Elite Franchise Top 100 league table is based on a number of criteria, including support given to franchisees, the scale of the business, financial performance and the contribution made by businesses to the communities in which they operate.
Home Instead has been awarded the top position for three out of the four years that the list has been published, achieving second position in the 2020 listing.
This latest accolade comes a week after Home Instead was named Gold Franchisor of the Year at the 2020 bfa HSBC Franchise Awards.
Commenting on the achievements, CEO Martin Jones (pictured) said, “The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a light on the care sector like never before. Despite all the challenges thrown at us this year we have continued to grow, continued to support and continued to make a difference to our clients and to the communities we serve.
“We could not have achieved what we have without the commitment of our franchise teams across the country and the unstinting dedication of our amazing CAREGivers. My thanks go to all of them. It’s a great end to the year for all of us.”
Other home care providers that made the league table include Bluebird Care, Caremark and Right at Home, which were ranked in 8th, 14th and 16th position respectively.
Commenting on this year’s results, Scott English, brand director of Elite Franchise, said: “Placing highly on the list is something to be incredibly proud of. This year, entrants have been judged on our eight key criteria as well as any measures they initiated to survive the challenges of 2020. These brands have amazed us with their resourcefulness and deserve huge congratulations.”
