Law firm Royds Withy King has launched a new service in response to “unprecedented demand” from care providers for expert HR and employment law advice with insurance protection against Employment Tribunal claims.
With recruitment and retention challenges at an all-time high, HELP has been launched to provide a flexible but comprehensive legal support package to the care sector from qualified solicitors who understand the industry.
Earlier this year, the law firm and it’s legal partner, the Care Association Alliance, reported that the care sector needs to recruit 128,000 new workers each year, or 1.3 million by 2030, to replace those who retire or leave, and to meet increasing demand, new research has found.
The study by the Care Association Alliance and law firm Royds Withy King found that one in three workers leave the sector every year – the highest turnover rate of all job sectors in the UK.
The UK’s ageing population also means that there is an increasing demand for care workers.
