A London-based live-in care company has been named the Best Bespoke Care Platform in the UK.

Live-in Care Direct picked up the accolade at the Technology Innovator Awards, organised by Corporate Vision.

The company has developed a family platform to enable elderly clients to view photos and home videos, uploaded by their families, to help them stay connected with their loved ones and lift their mood. It is also developing wearable technology to prevent falls and measure vital signs.

Commenting on the win, founder Jason Russell said: “During the pandemic I focused 100% on improving and developing the tech side of the business, which not only improved our administrative operations but also helped numerous existing and new clients in saving them the risk of going into residential care homes and possibly losing their lives, like unfortunately so many did.

“Our super efficient tech-enabled platform, along with our fully vaccinated team of outstanding nationwide carers, allows us to keep the elderly and those with long term illnesses in the comfort of their own homes and familiar surroundings without being uprooted.

“Working with some of the world’s leading developers and having years of experience in back end systems and client based software, this knowledge has surely helped me develop this user friendly bespoke multimedia tech care platform, which not only benefits the clients and their families but also improves the efficiency of our carers and the company as a whole.”

In December, Live-in Care Direct was named the ‘most motivated live-in care agency’ in a national awards event at the 2021 Social Care Awards, hosted by Global Health & Pharma (GHP).
