Right at Home has raised over £31,500 after hosting a series of fundraising events for Alzheimer’s Society.
The home care provider first partnered with Alzheimer’s Society in April 2019, and now in its second year of partnership, Right at Home has raised £31,841.91 to date.
Fundraising activities from across the network’s 60+ offices include a 34 mile walk, organised events such as Rough Runner and Tough Mudder and taking part in Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship events such as Elf Day, Cupcake Day and Memory Walks.
The latest Memory Walk took place last week, with members of the national office team taking part to mark World Alzheimer’s Month.
Speaking about the partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, Right at Home UK CEO Ken Deary said: “The current pandemic has seen those most vulnerable being cut off from their family, friends and other support systems and so our fundraising is now more important than ever.
“As well as fundraising, offices have continued to raise awareness of dementia during the pandemic by moving their Dementia Friends sessions online.”
Katie Glover, corporate account executive at Alzheimer’s Society, added: “We are so grateful to Right at Home, not only raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society charity partnership, but also raising awareness around World Alzheimer’s Month and our cause.
“It’s so fantastic to see members of the Right at Home team getting out and about, rocking the Alzheimer’s Society t-shirts, enjoying the glorious weather and walking for us.”
