The National Association of Care & Support Workers (NACAS has announced the appointment of a new CEO.
Sabina Kelly started in the role on Tuesday (April 28), taking over the position from Karolina Gerlich, who was recently appointed as the executive director of the Care Workers’ Charity.
Kelly is a qualified nurse and has worked in collaboration with the care sector all her working life.
She became the director of operations of Right at Home Central London in May 2017, before becoming the interim manager of a care home in October 2019.
Kelly has also successfully completed a Skills for Care/Burdett Trust course in exploring how registered nurses can influence the care sector, in order to promote inter-collaborative working and enhance person-centred care for all.
Commenting on her appointment, NACAS founder Paul Featherstone said: “We are honoured and delighted that Sabina has accepted and will be the association’s figurehead as our new CEO.
“Sabina is a highly respected healthcare professional and brings to NACAS a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from within both the health and social care sectors that will be an asset to our organisation as we continue our work in championing care workers and our wonderful vocation.”
