National campaign launched to support frontline workers tackling coronavirus

A national campaign is being rolled out to support NHS and social care staff tackling the coronavirus on the frontline.

The #YouAreHeroes Campaign, launched by the Home Care Expo, aims to connect all those working in high-risk health, care and support roles with a view to support their health and well-being and raise public appreciation for their work.

Expo organiser, Roar B2B, hopes the initiative will combat loneliness and stress for health, care and support workers and raise awareness of the “difficult but incredible” work they are doing.

The campaign will include a series of useful resources, guidance, words of encouragement and initiatives to help staff weather the storm.

Roar B2B is encouraging health and care providers do join the campaign using the hashtag #YouAreHeroes.

The Home Care Expo was postponed earlier this month due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The show will now be held on November 9-10 alongside the Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo.
