New charity launched to support elderly people across Europe

A new charitable foundation has been launched to help improve the lives of elderly people across Europe.

The Threestone Foundation will sponsor and support projects and research initiatives with a special focus on elderly care.

It is backed by Threestones Capital, a Luxembourg-based investment manager and service provider for nursing home investments in Europe.

Threestones said the foundation will give the company the opportunity to apply the knowledge it has accrued beyond its commercial activities at a time when demand for elderly care continues to grow in line with the rapid increase in Europe’s ageing population.

Francesco Sparaco, managing partner of Threestones Capital and chairman of The Threestones Foundation, commented: “Europeans are living longer, and making sure that elderly people are able to live with dignity is the responsibility of every single one of us, individuals but also governments and businesses.

“Companies like Threestones Capital do not exist in a vacuum – we have a duty to give back to the communities in which we operate whenever possible. All of our team members are equally as passionate about developing the elderly sector as they are about delivering value for our investors. The Threestones Foundation will now give us that outlet to help make a change for the better.”
