A new home care provider based in Lincolnshire has been crowned the winner of a prestigious business award.
Radfield Home Care Stamford, Peterborough & Rutland picked up the Best New Start-up accolade at the virtual Mercury Business Awards.
Established in 2005, the awards celebrate excellence and showcase the achievements of local businesses and the people who work for them.
Owned and operated by husband and wife team, James and Stefania Beech, the Radfield Home Care franchise was launched in 2019 to deliver care and support to older people in their local community.
Since then, despite the challenges presented by Covid-19, they have continued to expand; delivering care to dozens of older people, and creating multiple local job opportunities.
Commenting on their recognition, James said: “We are delighted as we weren’t expecting the award, but we have a good story and have really created something special.
“It’s always challenging setting up a business from scratch, but we have done things in the right way and built a loyal following of clients which continues to grow. We constantly get fantastic feedback. That’s a good thing about this business. We really make a difference to people’s lives.”
The news comes after Radfield Home Care was listed in the Elite Franchise Top 100 league table for a fourth year running.
Radfield Home Care franchisor Dr Hannah MacKechnie said: “It has been wonderful to see James and Stefania be recognised for their hard work and commitment to quality care in the Stamford region. They have developed a fantastic business, with a great team of care professionals delivering a high quality service to their clients – as their previous Homecare.co.uk Award demonstrates.
“2021 looks set to be a great year for Radfield and all of our franchise partners. Last year really demonstrated the resilience of our franchise partners’ care businesses, with many continuing to grow despite the challenges of Covid-19. This was recognised by the Elite Franchise 100, but is also being recognised by many people looking to change their careers in 2021, with a surge in enquiries regarding the franchise opportunity across the UK.”
