A domiciliary care service based in Kingston upon Thames has been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
Jardine Care Limited trading as Home Instead Senior Care, was rated outstanding for being well-led and responsive following the inspection in October 2018. It was rated good for being safe, effective and caring.
Home Instead Senior Care provides domiciliary care to people living in the London Borough of Richmond and surrounding areas.
This includes personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and help with medicines. The service also provides people with help and support in their day-to-day lives, such as housework and shopping.
A CQC spokesperson said: “People were exceptionally well supported by caregivers to engage in activities to stimulate and promote their overall well-being.
“The provider worked closely with organisations in the community and together they shared in initiatives to support people in activities outside of their home environment, such as day centres, clubs and lunches.”
The service was applauded for its exceptional personalised and responsive care provided by caregivers, its stimulating programme of activities, and its approach to combatting loneliness and positive use of technology.
Staff told the CQC that they would recommend the company to anyone interested in a career in social care as they felt very well supported.
Feedback from people and their relatives and other professionals involved with people who use the service was glowing about the quality of this provider.
James Frewin, CQC’s head of inspection for adult social care in London, said: “All those connected with Jardine Care Limited are to be congratulated for the outstanding care provided.
“As part of the Home Instead family, Jardine Care Limited is responsive to the needs of those in its care and this is always good to see.”
