September edition of Home Care Insight now available to read online

The latest issue of Home Care Insight magazine is now available to read online in digital format.

This edition of the magazine, which is free to access, speaks to providers as they adapt to the ongoing pandemic, sharing their forecasts for the future and priorities for reform.

Our cover star this month is Andy Hogarth, CEO of Helping Hands. After 18 months at the helm of the business, he discusses the pressures of stepping into a company with a 30-year heritage, the challenges of leading a home care provider through a pandemic and the strategies he’s introduced in order to improve quality and empower the workforce.

Workforce matters is a major focal point in this issue, given the extra pressures employers and staff are facing during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. HCI features advice on retaining care workers following a surge in recruitment and tips on mitigating risk as shielders return to work.

Technology is another crucial theme, as industry suppliers report a huge rise in demand for their digital solutions during the pandemic. They explain why the coronavirus pandemic has made providers realise the benefits of going digital.

We also share a case study on how Hampshire County Council has improved outcomes during the crisis using assistive technology.

The final section of the magazine focuses on social care reform, with leaders in the sector making their post-pandemic predictions and highlighting the need for home care to be at the centre of change for the sector.
