The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated CLCA, a Shropshire-based home care provider, Outstanding after a January 2020 inspection.
The service supports 18 people, some of whom have complex nursing needs or significant health conditions, to live in their own homes.
Situated near Shrewsbury, the service received a Good rating in its 2017 inspection.
This time around, CLCA received Good ratings in the safety and effectiveness categories, and was deemed Outstanding for being caring, responsive and well-led. This resulted in an Outstanding rating overall.
CQC interim head of inspection for adult social care Amanda Lyndon commented: “Our inspection team was very impressed by the level of care and support offered by C.L.C.A. Company Limited.
“Staff had an exceptionally caring approach to supporting people. They respected and valued people as individuals, empowering them as partners in their care. This included supporting people with life-changing injuries to fulfil aspirations and undertake activities they previously enjoyed. A person told us this proactive care had helped them turn their life around.
“Services were tailored to meet people’s individual needs – offering flexibility, choice and continuity of care. Staff saw social inclusion as a vital part of people’s needs and supported them to enjoy activities to improve health and wellbeing; this included horse riding and attending football matches.
“All of this meant people received a high standard of care, which is why it has been rated Outstanding.”
