Social care and support workers gain access to ‘robust’ training platform

NHS Digital has provided members of the National Association of Care & Support Workers (NACAS) with access to a digital learning platform.

The e-Learning for Healthcare platform offers learning and training opportunities to care and support workers who are keen to develop their skills and increase their knowledge.

Programmes available to NACAS members will provide training on mental health awareness, safeguarding, the Care Certificate and dementia care.

Members will also be able build their knowledge on conditions such as sepsis and asthma.

NACAS CEO Karolina Gerlich said: “We believe that the social care workforce needs a more robust training framework and delivering this to our members is a huge step in the right direction.

“We are very excited that many of our members have already expressed their interest and have signed up to the platform.

“We are looking forward to hearing back from them about the positive impact this membership benefit is going to have on them, their work and people they work with.”
