Stairlift and homelift manufacturer, Stannah, has announced the launch of a “revolutionary” digital platform, allowing its UK customers to buy bespoke products online.
The platform distils the process of purchasing a new stairlift into a 20-minute interaction on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
Sam Stannah, who heads up the Strategic Projects Team and is the first of the sixth generation of the Stannah family to join the business, said: “The aim of our new digital platform is simple — to give the power of choice to our customers, whilst making the purchase of a stairlift as seamless as possible.
“We recognise that everyone’s needs and tastes are different, so proudly offer a tailored experience with a range of features and finishes available. This is a revolutionary move in the stairlift industry and reflects our ongoing commitment to support and enable our customers in the digital era.”
Prospective customers are able to find and purchase a stairlift tailored to meet their needs and home by submitting specific information about their home, including type of staircase and number of turns, and choose from the Standard or Deluxe Package.
Boasting an industry-first, Stannah said customers can choose from over 30 upholstery options so their stairlift’s fabric, colour and trim perfectly complements their home décor. They can then select a timeframe for an appointment with a Stannah expert whenever is convenient for them and place an order with a 10% deposit.
Experienced consultants will then visit to finalise the order and measure the staircase. An installation date will be arranged, the stairlift built bespoke and then transported and installed by one of their expert engineers.
