SureCare partnering with local charity to help the homeless

SureCare Barnet and Brent have partnered with local charity Street Kind UK to help homeless people in the local area.

Street Kind UK launched earlier this year with the goal of providing support for London’s growing homeless population and SureCare has been involved since the beginning.

SureCare has worked with Street Kind UK to offer both time and funds to help increase the support that the non-profit community organisation can offer using its network of volunteers.

A statement from SureCare said: “We have joined the Street Kind UK team on multiple community outreaches, meeting with homeless people in our community.

“This helped us to find out about the real stories and challenges faced by the people who often feel they have nowhere to turn to.”

Thanks to the donations from SureCare Barnet & Brent, Street Kind UK has been able to buy 30 new sleeping backs, 10 rucksacks and numerous other essentials for those who are homeless, according to the company.

SureCare’s charity initiative is an important part of their role within the community, something that didn’t go unnoticed during a CQC inspection.

“During our recent CQC visit, the inspectors were impressed by our additional charity work and the message of gratitude we received from Street Kind UK,” the statement continued.

“Whilst it falls outside of what’s typically inspected by the CQC, our support for other parts of the community shows the Commission just how dedicated we are to improving people’s lives right across the community.”

SureCare Barnet has a Good rating from the CQC and is currently under evaluation.
