Live-in care provider The Good Care Group (TGCG) has scooped two top accolades at the HealthInvestor Awards.
TGCG was recognised for its pioneering work with wins in two separate categories – Specialist Care Provider and IT Innovator – at a ceremony In London earlier this month.
Speaking at the awards, managing director Dominique Kent said: “We’re tremendously proud to be recognised in this way. These prestigious awards are testament to the dedication and support of everyone at The Good Care Group. This year we have begun to see the benefit of developing and implementing new systems and training programmes that not only make our work more rewarding and enjoyable but transform our clients’ quality of life.”
Judges were particularly impressed with the group’s bespoke IT platform, which was introduced in 2018 to transform every area of the business.
Its ‘Carer Community’ is designed to alleviate the burden of paperwork from carers and provides real-time reporting to managers. Through this, senior staff can track health issues more easily, such as recurring infections in a particular client, leading to faster treatment and eradication.
TGCG picked up the Specialist Care Provider award after demonstrating how ongoing partnerships with charitable organisations have resulted in developing a number of care models.
It’s partnership with The Stroke Association, for example, has created a nationally recognised level three qualification for live-in care.
The group was also praised for its therapeutic Behavioural Challenges Intervention Programme, which produced an immediate and sustained reduction in incidents such as aggression and shouting in people living with dementia, according to TGCG.
