1st Class Care has been handed an ‘inadequate’ rating following an inspection earlier this year.

Inspectors went on to describe how it ‘requires improvement’ in how caring and responsive it was.

According to a report from the Express and Star, at the time of the inspection, it was caring for five elderly people including people with dementia and physical disabilities.

The report describes how shortly after the inspection the provider submitted an application to cancel their registration and advised they planned to close the service from May 2019.

The latest inspection took place on March 5 and the report was published on May 8.
