A telecoms company that works with a large number of home care providers has pledged to support the Care Workers’ Charity’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund.

Your Comms Group, founded in 2009, supports over 800 UK companies with their business communication strategies, enabling them to operate more efficiently and comply with data protection regulations.

Founder of the company, Lee Stalham, will kick the company’s fundraising efforts off by walking 100K in under 30 hours across the South Downs.

Your Comms Group is also planning a bake sale and a ‘Wear Company Colours to Work Day’ next month, with other fundraisers planned for March and June next year.

Stalham commented: “The whole team is full of admiration for the way care workers have dealt with the pandemic and continued to provide a service that has kept people safe and well in their own homes.

“We do quite a few fundraising activities each year and thought it would be lovely to support care workers. When we heard about the CWC’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund we unanimously agreed that this would be an excellent fundraising focus for us.”

The CWC Covid-19 Grant Fund was set up last year to provide funding for care workers who have had a drop in income due to the pandemic. The appeal has raised £2 million so far.

CWC CEO Karolina Gerlich said: “We were delighted to hear that Your Comms Group wanted to support us.

“Every bit of fundraising counts and it’s lovely to hear that people are thinking about care workers; particularly at the present time.”
